Ronaldo: 'Man United can match Chelsea'

Cristiano Ronaldo believes that Manchester United can push reigning champions Chelsea all the way in the Premiership title race this season.

The Red Devils head to Blackburn Rovers this weekend three points clear of Jose Mourinho's men, who entertain Watford at Stamford Bridge, looking to bounce back from their shock Carling Cup exit at the Championship's basement club Southend United.

While Ronaldo has appeared in three domestic finals since arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in 2003, the Portuguese winger has not as yet come close to winning the Premiership.

But Ferguson's men have dropped just five points to date this season and Ronaldo believes they are capable of matching Chelsea's consistency of the last two seasons which has seen them claim back-to-back titles.

The 21-year-old, who is happy with his form, said: "Last season Chelsea played really well and were very consistent. But this year, we are doing exactly the same thing.

"If we lose or even draw a game it is regarded as a bad result. We don't want to lose any game at the moment and in the league we always feel we need to win."
